Friday - February 17, 2012 - A Centennial Celebration with lunch at the Reid Park Doubletree Hotel, 445 S. Alvernon Way, to celebrate "100 Years of Women's Leadership in Tucson and Arizona." Reservations required.

We are honoring the Las Donas de Los Descendientes del Presidio de Tucson who are dedicated to the preservation of the history and culture of Tucson.
Our speaker is Lisa Schnebly Heidinger, great-granddaughter of Sedona Schnebly for whom the town of Sedona is named. Lisa's extensive accomplishments include: former KGUN-TV Channel 9 tv reporter, teaching broadcast journalism at the University of Arizona; writing for Tucson and Tucson Lifestyle magazines, Arizona Highways, and the Arizona Republic. Lisa authored her first book in 1995. Her latest book is "Arizona 100 Years Grand." It a geographical, historical and cultural collection of Arizona's best and brightest people, places and events during the first century of statehood and the official book of the Arizona Centennial.
Copies of this book will be available for purchase at the lunch and Lisa will autograph your copy. Lisa serves on both state centennial committees. Twenty percent of the profits go to the Arizona Centennial.
